Clara Stark (Director of “Pump Boys and Dinettes”)… has lived in the Columbia area for over 37 years. Although originally from Billings, Montana, Clara came to the Mid Missouri area to attend Stephens College and there earned a BFA in Theatre Performance. Over the years she also earned a BS in Elementary Education from William Woods University. Clara is married and has raised two children, now grown. Over the last 3 and half decades Clara has been a regular at the MBCT. She has directed children’s shows in the past, and enjoyed it so much, has come back to direct the MBCT Children’s Camp. She also has worked as House Manager and has performed in several shows, as well as being a former member of the MBCT Board of Directors. But her favorite part of being involved in community theatre? Probably working as a Choreographer! Last summer, she choreographed Godspell, as well as Oliver! Dancing is Clara’s first love, so getting to direct Pump Boys and Dinettes will be nothing but an act of pure love. Clara is committed to bringing the best entertainment possible to the famous Barn stage – so get ready to enjoy the magic under the stars unfold right before your eyes! You’ll come back for more. It’s a promise.
