If you are interested in auditioning for the show, auditions will be at the Maplewood Barn July 1st & 2nd 7pm till sundown. It will consist of cold readings from the script. If you have anymore questions about auditions, please email Russ at magicoftheatre@yahoo.com.

Thank you so much to all the wonderful women who make the Barn possible. Thank you to mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and daughters for taking the time to volunteer to make our shows something special. Thank you for volunteering to act, direct, produce, choreograph, orchestrate, and costume our performances. And thank you to those who support our volunteers, coming to every performance, driving your kids to rehearsals, letting us use your business space to rehearse, and donating to help us get the things we need. Thank you, and have a wonderful Mother’s Day.

New Officers and Board Members Elected

Newly-elected officers of the Maplewood Barn’s Board of Directors are: Byron Scott, President; Dana Naylor, Vice President;Matthew Davis, Secretary and Christine Staelens, Treasurer.

We are thrilled to announce six new Board members will begin their terms at the March 11 monthly meeting: Chris Bowling, Carrie Copeland, Val Davis, Robert Klick, Joanna McCLure and Margaret Post.

The Board’s committees will be headed by continuing members: Brad Buchanan, Development; Sharree Rose, Marketing and Molly Dodge, Production.

Annual Meeting, March 11, 2013

The annual meeting of Maplewood Barn Community Theatre Association is 7:30 pm, Monday (March 11) at The Barn in Nifong Park. Refreshments will be served.

Outgoing President Michael Scott and outgoing Secretary Alana Barragán-Scott, who have served for the maximum of six consecutive years as Board members, will be honored, along with Mike Hood, retiring director of Columbia’s Parks and Recreation Department. Directors of this summer’s outdoor productions will be present to talk about their shows.

Membership in the association is open to all friends of community theatre. Annual dues are $5. Cash, Check and Credit Card are accepted.
